PAYMENT:
We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard/Debit.
HOURLY RATE:
This is for quick stuff like vocals over pre-recorded music, a transfer, or maybe tracking the instruments for one song.
$50 per hour (2 hour minimum)
All hourly rates are to be paid at the end of the session.
BLOCK RATES:
This is usually for tracking projects in shorter 2, 4, 6, or 8 hour sessions. When a client/band would like to just work on a couple things at a time this is the best option.
$45 per hour (for a 10 Hour Block)
$40 per hour (for a 20 Hour Block)
$35 per hour (for a 40+ Hour Block)
All block rates are to be paid in full before the start of the first session of the block.
DAY RATE:
This is for tracking projects in longer sessions. When a client/band has all day available to work on a project, this is the most economical way to work.
$350 per day(12 hour single day- with a couple of breaks in there)
All day rates are to be paid at the start of the session.
ALL BLOCK AND DAY TRACKING RATES INCLUDE AN HOUR OF SET-UP TIME FOR FREE!! Often times this can actually take place the evening before a tracking session. Bring your band gear up, load it in to the studio, and set it all up. We can work on some of the tedious things like tuning the drums and the setup of all the microphones on individual instruments. Then we can just walk in the next day, start being productive, and record immediately!!
MIXING RATES:
Any “in house” project’s left over tracking hours will be applied to the mix rates.
This is also for those who’ve tracked their music in another studio and want us to mix it.
$100 to $350 per song (song dependent) (3 recall clause*)
The mix rates will vary depending on the amount of work and/or restoration the tracks need. If you have your project tracked professionally by us here at Third Eye, the mixing project should be even easier, but it still depends on the complexity and length of the songs. If we’re mixing someone else’s tracks, you’ll have to get us a sample to hear so we can give you an estimate of how much it will cost for us to mix each song. We have a 3 recall* clause for each song, after which the mix rate goes to our studio’s $50 hourly rate. All per song mix rates are to be paid in full before the start of each mix.
* Here’s a simple explanation of the 3 recall clause. We will decide on a mix rate per song. After we tweak in the first initial mix, the client has up to three recalls to do any mix changes at the same per song rate (no additional cost). If after we’ve recalled the song 3 times, and there are still changes the client wants, no problem. Any changes, however, will be at the studio’s $50 per hour rate. Each song’s recall session time can vary. Typically it can be anywhere from half an hour or up to about two hours. Mixing and recalls may take place with just the mix engineer alone or with the clients present.
MASTERING RATES:
“In house” projects as well as projects mixed at other studios.
$100 whole project (for entire projects tracked and/or mixed “in house”)
$25 to $75 per song (projects not done at Third Eye)
The mastering rates also vary depending on the amount of work or restoration the mixes will need. You’ll have to get us a sample to analyze so we can give you an estimate. Then we can process the first song and get your approval. After you give your approval, we process the remaining songs and compile the songs onto a final CD that you can send to a manufacturer for reproduction. All mastering must be paid in full before the start of the mastering session.
TAX:
Rates on this page don’t include New Mexico sales tax which will be added on your final bill at the rate of 6.75%.
CONTRACT:
A contract with regulations, studio policies, and rates will have to be signed by all clients before any studio work begins.
